
Rahul Chopra is a serial entrepreneur, technology innovator, and strategic advisor with more than two decades of leadership at the intersection of infrastructure, healthcare IT, and technology commercialization. As Founder and Chairman of Custom Health, Rahul brings deep expertise in building scalable healthcare platforms, public-private partnerships, and transformative business models.
In addition to his role at Custom Health, Rahul is a Partner at Ventus Partners, advising leading venture capital funds, technology incubators, and startups across energy, telecom, and healthcare sectors. He also serves as a Senior Advisor at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Energy Technologies Area, where he focuses on public-private partnerships, strategic alliances, and business development initiatives.
Rahul’s public service leadership includes acting as a Rockefeller Fellow and advising the City of San Francisco’s Mayor and Board, where he chairs the Public-Private Partnership (P3) Committee for the city’s Fiber Everywhere initiative. In this capacity, he oversees fundraising and revenue strategies to expand critical digital infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Rahul has founded two high-tech startups, raised over $200 million in capital, and completed more than $1billion in transactions. He also previously led multi-hundred-million-dollar business units at global technology firms 3COM and Nortel Networks. His technological innovations include patents in MIMO wireless systems and dynamic call control for unified messaging — foundational to technologies like Apple Visual Voicemail and Google Voice.
A graduate of Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley, Rahul continues to drive innovation at the convergence of infrastructure, healthcare, and technology, advising both private companies and public sector leaders on building resilient, next-generation platforms.
